47th Annual SF Decorator Showcase · 2315 Broadway
Room No. 24
Briana Tunison & Matt Bissinger — Maker & Moss
The Room
Our design imagines the private quarters of a 19th-century traveler whose life kept them in motion across continents. This attic space translates tent architecture into permanent form. Sloped ceilings and draped textiles recall an unfettered life, and a palette drawn from desert clay, flashes of cadmium, and savannah gold recollect distant landscapes. Layered patterns and collected objects speak to a life of inquiry and unlikely encounters. This is a room that has been assembled by lamplight in a dozen temporary camps and finally allowed to stay.

Aragon’s custom work has been featured in projects for the Carlos Altamirano restaurants and the Slanted Door Group, among others. Together they approach furniture as both functional object and sculptural form. Keenan and Aragon first connected through their dear friend the late chef Charles Phan, whose love of craft, design, and hospitality brought together a wide community of artists and designers.
